Looks terrific. I remember seeing this house from the water (and street) as a kid growing up in bay Shore.

  Hi Mr.& Mrs. Weiss,

I know I'm the last person you would have wanted to hear from. Joe, I have thought about you over the years and wanted to APOLOGIZE for the way I left the company. I hope you will forgive me. I've seen that you have done so much to the castle it looks GREAT!!! I've moved to Charlotte, NC and I now I have a 3 year old son (well he will be 3 next week) Hannah is now in high school and doing great. I hope all is well with you and the family. Tell Missy Mac I said hello if she's still with you. Be blessed

I posted a long time ago regarding your website and how much we enjoy looking at it and showing our children where we grew up. You had been kind enough to contact us back when we told you every time we visit NY we would stop to see it from a far. You told me the next time we came to knock on the door. I am actually in town this week (July 21st) and we would really love to stop by. If you get this message, please let me know if this is still OK with you. My sister was unaware of this website and has really enjoyed looking through it. We would love to ---come by. Please give me a call and -let me know.

Thank you so much

Stacey

Visiting the site was a trip down memory lane. Joe Koch (a previous owner) was my Aunt Diane's father. The couple in the photo of the sitting area are my aunt Diane and Uncle George. I am pretty sure that the photo of the billiard table that was in the room behind the kitchen has my uncle in it as well. Also, I am 99% sure that the photo of the front of the house with the motorcycle in it is my motorcycle with myself and my wife on it.(we weren't married then) We often visited there just before Koch's tenure ended. I often worked in that huge garage with my uncle building cabinets. Thanks for the memories!!

I volunteered at the Family Service League South Shore House Tour last week and was "stationed" at Awixa! You mentioned a mail list that you have compiled to invited to the fundraisers and events at the house - please add me to the list.

Thanks -

I just moved in down the road in the Windemere complex and jog past your residence almost every morning. I am fascinated by the history of your house and I really enjoyed the website and photos. I would welcome the opportunity someday to get a closer look at your "Castle".

Web site is great. We are new owners in Windemere, just up the street from you, and are becoming aquainted with the neighborhood. We would like to see the real thing someday.I am told you will have a charity event July 28 so we will plan to attend.Chuck Stealey
